The arts of movement & Ceramics – From 3P

Extracurricular activity

The arts of movement

This extracurricular activity is specially designed for children aged 5 to 7 at École La Découverte! In this dynamic workshop, children will have the opportunity to discover and explore a world of artistic expression through twirling baton, stick tricks, gymnastics and circus.

Under the supervision of our experienced and passionate animator, children will embark on a captivating journey where they will develop their agility, coordination, creativity and self-confidence. Each session will be a playful adventure, featuring a variety of activities such as learning twirling stick moves, exploring stick tricks, practicing short gymnastic routines and discovering circus basics like balancing and juggling.

Through age-appropriate games, exercises and challenges, children will be encouraged to express their individuality, develop team spirit and take on new challenges in a safe, caring environment. A unique opportunity to have fun, move and grow while exploring the many facets of movement arts.

Join us for an enriching experience where every child can unleash his or her artistic potential and blossom in a dynamic and inspiring environment.

Ceramics

Discovering clay, its aspects, its character, its reactions, a moment of creation that allows you to let your imagination run free as you naturally learn to explore your creativity, develop fine motor skills and coordination.

Throughout the year, we’ll be experimenting, creating and discovering different techniques such as stud and slab mounting, modelling, pinching, moulding and decorating ceramics.

The aim is to create 3 beautiful projects over the year, divided into 3 terms. This is an opportunity to create magnificent pieces with a project defined with the child and sometimes with a theme.

We will also be experimenting with materials and the playful discovery of clay.

The children are divided into two groups. They alternate every other week between the “Art of movement” and “Ceramics” extras.
