Illustration / Animation / Computer Science - 5P-6P (possibility for 4P)

Extracurricular activity

Guided by Jérôme, come and explore digital creation in all its forms: from drawing to animation, including 3D printing, game design and redstone mechanics in Minecraft.

This activity offers a fun introduction to the tools and concepts of visual and technical creation, where everyone can bring their ideas to life and learn how to share them. A key moment of the activity is the presentation of projects in front of the group: speaking in public, explaining one’s choices and showcasing one’s work are all an integral part of the creative process.

For younger children — 1 hour:
A gentle introduction, with accessible projects combining drawing, first animations on iPad, an introduction to 3D printing and creative exploration in Minecraft.

For older children — 1 hour:
A more in-depth approach, moving from hand drawing to digital animation, from video editing to special effects, while also exploring 3D modelling, game design and redstone circuits to create their own machines and mini-games.

Examples of tools and projects:

  • Hand drawing and flipbooks
  • Procreate — iPad
  • CapCut — video editing
  • 3D printing — modelling and production
  • Minecraft: redstone, game design and level design
  • Character design and storyboarding
  • Animation and set design
  • Project presentations in front of the class
  • Etc.
