Imagination & image manipulation - Steam - From 6P

Extracurricular activity

Images are omnipresent in our daily lives. And not all of them are as we imagine them… Did you know, for example, that 85% of the IKEA catalogue is made up of images generated in 3D? Yes, the boundary between the real and the virtual is now so fine that it is sometimes invisible. And that’s where the problem lies.

Based on the principle that it’s much easier to understand by doing, this course invites children to explore the world of images and their manipulation by using their hands and their imagination. How does it work? Just like in a laboratory, we’ll be embarking on various experiments (how to capture an image, creating filters, comparing images, interactive installation, etc.) to give each child the critical distance needed to understand and explore today’s visual world.

TUESDAY from 4pm to 5pm
